Two weeks ago, we announced that we have assembled a special team that is now working on the Road Trip project for American Truck Simulator. Now, we would like to ask our community for some help to bring this project to life.
How can you help? If you have access to any of the vehicles listed below and would be willing to let us record sounds with them, we would truly appreciate your support!
We understand that these cars are cherished by their owners, and they may feel hesitant about letting someone else handle them. But don't worry, as we treat every vehicle with care and respect. All we do is attach a few small microphones, take the car for a short drive, and record sounds like the engine at different RPMs, the gearbox, the exhaust, etc.
We'll only use one microphone near the exhaust, which will be attached with duct tape that won't damage the paint. The other mics will go inside the engine bay and the cabin. Also, to record these sounds as close as possible to how the car left the factory, we need them the cars to be unmodified.
